BUFFALO, NY - Canisius is among the top colleges and universities in New York State for teacher education. According to the latest numbers released by The College Database, Canisius ranks 15th out of the 97 higher education institutions included in the rankings.
The report recognized Canisius for graduating a high number of teacher education students during the 2012 academic year. Canisius awarded 553 education degrees, during this time. The College Database also credited Canisius for the quality and specializations of its teacher education programs, the hands-on learning opportunities available to students, the college’s facilities and its teacher education professors, who “bring real-world classroom success into the college setting.”
