Faculty, staff, students, and administrators may call ext. 8340 to reach the ITS Help Desk. The experienced, qualified staff addresses all technology issues from answering quick questions to dispatching "emergency" help to technology classrooms. Assistance is available in person in Horan-O'Donnell Rm 016 or through email at @email. Problems that can't be handled directly by the Help Desk will be assigned to ITS staff for follow-up and resolution. *During the winter and summer break periods, normal Help Desk hours may be adjusted. Check the "Dome" for updates.
Services available to Students:
The ITS Help Desk will provide the following services for students and their computers:
- Establish wireless network connections
- Assist with network registration
- Assist with setting up Gmail on mobile devices
- Remove spyware, adware, and viruses
- Set-up Papercut Printing on personal computers
- Reset passwords
Andrew L. Bouwhuis Library
The Library is equipped with both Windows and MacIntosh computers and scanners available for student use.
Printing at Canisius
Print "release stations"are located in the library, labs, and some classrooms around campus. When print is clicked within a document it is added to a list of jobs waiting to be released. To get the document walk to the print release station, swipe your Canisius ID card to see the list of print jobs waiting in the queue. Simply use the mouse at the station to select the print-job you sent to the printer and select print. Each semester a credit toward printing and copying is allotted to each student (about 300 black and white pages a semester). Click to learn more.
Internet Plazas
These are located in a variety of locations across campus. The clusters of computers are equipped with web browsers and are open all times that the buildings are accessible.
