All international applicants must submit proof of their ability to meet all educational and living expenses for one year of study.

Canisius does not award full-tuition scholarships.

We do not currently offer need-based aid to international students. We encourage all students to explore aid opportunities through outside scholarships, government programs, sponsorships, etc.

International students will automatically be considered for merit-based scholarships upon review for admission. Merit scholarships are based on academic performance, standardized test scores, recommendations and other evidence of merit.

First-Year International Merit Scholarships

Academic scholarships are based on your three-year cumulative high school average; freshman through junior year (or first three years of secondary school), on the United States grading scale. Our merit scholarships are renewable for four years. If you qualify for an academic scholarship, you will be notified electronically.
