Golden Griffin Fund
This signature course in investment management is designed for both undergraduate seniors and MBA finance majors. Students manage a real-money fund made up of investments in over 30 individual stocks and three equity Exchange Traded Funds. Students learn about the inner workings of the capital markets, while gaining hands-on experience in investment management and equity analysis. The Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Institute Challenge
A prestigious global association for investment management professionals, the CFA Institute is committed to an ethical business environment. Each year the CFA Institute hosts the top finance competition for university students, and teams from around the world are given the ultimate challenge: research, analyze and report on a publicly traded company and then offer a recommendation about buying, selling or holding. Students are mentored and given intensive training in financial analysis leading up to the competition. In 2015 the Canisius team walked away with the first-place trophy in the global challenge.
