For Employers who are recruiting for specific full-time employment positions, as well as internship opportunities, we offer a variety of enhanced recruitment strategies. Handshake is our online job board available to current undergraduate and graduate students, as well as alumni. To post a position on Handshake, go to http://canisius.joinhandshake.com. You can review our step-by-step guide on how to create an employer profile here.

Information Sessions

Individual information sessions can be requested on a case-by-case basis by emailing @email. The professional staff in Career Development can work with you to schedule an information session in conjunction with on-campus interviews or as a stand-alone opportunity.

"Recruiters on Campus" Information Tables

Canisius offers the opportunity for individual employers to host an information table on campus and share details about their company and open positions. Information tables are usually scheduled during the morning and afternoon hours, September to April, held outside our office in Horan O'Donnell 014 on Wednesdays.

On-Campus Interviews

Interviews can be hosted in the Career Development Suite in Horan O'Donnell 014, which offers private interview rooms, a reception area and a small conference room. On-Campus Interviews can be scheduled at any time but generally take place between October and April for optimum results. 

  • Qualified students and alumni will submit their resumes and other application requirements for your review through Handshake and/or preferred external applicant tracking system. When you have selected your primary list of candidates, the Career Development team will notify them to select timeslots via Handshake. You may also elect to host "open interviews" where candidates are not pre-selected and automatically have access to select an interview time. An applicant packet with a schedule and applicant information will be made available to you prior to your interviews.

Griff Fair

Griff Fair, our annual career and internship fair, is Canisius University's flagship recruiting event. Open to all majors and class years, Griff Fair provides your organization the opportunity to network and share information regarding upcoming jobs, internships and programs with our students.
