PA Tuition/Fees and Refund Policies

Canisius University Physician Assistant Studies Estimated Program Costs for Students

Tuition: $104,500

The tuition rate for the 2024/25 academic year is now $950/credit hour in accordance with college and industry rate increases. This does not include college and program fees listed below.

Canisius Graduate Fees: $2625 (total)
  • College Fee: $15/credit hour, capped at 9 credit hours per semester = $140/semester
  • Technology Fee: $10/credit hour, capped at 9 credit hours per semester = $90/semester
  • Wellness Fee: $145/semester
PA Program Fees: $2955 (effective 5/1/2024)
The total of $2605 is an estimate based on current industry costs. Fees will be divided evenly across all 7 semesters and can be found on your bill for each semester. Program required fees are subject to change, and include the following:
  • BLS/ACLS/PALS: (one-time fee): $300
  • Medical Library (Textbooks, journals, additional learning resources; $100/semester): $700 
  • Lab/simulation fees: $250/Semester (7 semesters): $1750
  • Background check/Drug Screening: (Additional fees may occur as some rotations will require additional checks and/or screenings):  $135
  • New York State Society of Physician Assistants (NYSSPA) student membership: $35/yr ($70 total)

Must be US citizens/permanent residents registered to vote or residing in either NYC’s 5 boroughs, Long Island or Westchester to be eligible for the scholarship.
