The Canisius University Golden Griffin Fund (GGF) team’s dominance at the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Institute Research Challenge of WNY continues. The team topped the University of Rochester and SUNY Geneseo, Cornell University and Syracuse University to take home its seventh consecutive first-place win. The event was held February 20 at Canisius University.
Congratulations to the five-person GGF team which includes: Jesse Caulkins ’17 (team captain), Cory Cullen ’17, Meghan Federico ’17, Auston Ingram ’17 and Jeffrey Spencer ’17.
The students now advance to the America’s regional competition in Seattle, WA, on April 6-7, where they will compete with college and university teams from North and South America. The winners of the America’s finals competition vie for the global CFA championship held in Prague, Czech Republic on April 28, 2017.
In 2015, Canisius University won the global championship title, placing first over more than 4,000 undergraduate and graduate students from 865 universities in 70 countries. In 2016, the GGF team advanced to the America’s Finals.
