Buffalo, NY - Canisius University, in partnership with Xavier University, John Carroll University, and Le Moyne College, hosted an innovative workshop on Friday, Nov. 15, designed to deepen high school counselors' understanding of Jesuit higher education. The collaborative event, titled "Jesuit Secrets to Student Success," provided high school counselors from across Western New York with valuable insights into the distinctive characteristics and advantages of Jesuit institutions, enabling them to better guide students who might thrive in such an academic environment.
The workshop highlighted the core principles of Jesuit education, including cura personalis (care for the whole person), the integration of academic excellence with spiritual and personal development, and the emphasis on forming individuals for and with others.
