BUFFALO, NY – The Permanent Chair of Polish Culture at Canisius University will host a scholarship benefit concert on Sunday, May 15, 2022. The event is free and open to the public and an opportunity to meet the artists will follow. The event will start at 2:30 p.m. at St. Michael Church, 651 Washington Street, Buffalo NY 14203.
The concert of classical and sacred music will feature sopranos Brittany Mruczek, Haley Brunstad, Melanie Bebak; brass players Nathan Oehler and William Wisnoski; and Ivan Docenko, pianist. Works by Chopin, Moniuszko, Lysenko, Mozart, Lloyd-Webber, Sibelius and more will be featured to benefit the Polish American Congress Fund for Ukraine and the Polish Singers Alliance Scholarship Fund.
A Meet-the-Artists reception will follow and be hosted by St. Michaels, Polish Arts Club of Buffalo and Polish American Congress of Western New York. A free-will offering is accepted, sponsorships are available and checks may be made payable to the “Polish Singers Alliance.”
