BUFFALO, NY - The Canisius Fund concluded its 2014-2015 campaign May 31 with overwhelming support from more than 5,000 Canisius alumni, family and friends. The generous financial contributions of these donors this past year will strengthen the most powerful aspects of a Canisius education. From academic excellence, to scholarships and tuition assistance, as well as real-world and service experiences, the Canisius Fund impacts all of the college’s 4,181 students. That gives them 4,181 reasons to be thankful. Here are just a few:
Juston “Lee” Locklear ’17 / Marketing, Psychology Dual Major
“At Canisius, I’m provided with an education of quality and value. Thank you for supporting the Jesuit tradition of academic rigor and providing students like me with a world-class education, allowing me and so many others to fulfill our potentials and achieve our dreams.”
Angel Saldivar ’18 / International Business Major
“I want to express my sincere appreciation for the institutional aid that I received. Without that financial assistance, I would not have been able to attend Canisius and benefit from the rich education that it offers. Being the first in my family to attend college, I know that I am setting an example for my younger brothers. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for this opportunity.
Emily Dorward ’17 / Sociology, Human Services Dual Major
“Volunteering in an orphanage in Poland was a life-enhancing experience. The children had endured so much, yet always had the biggest and brightest smiles. They helped me see the beauty in life by experiencing it from a different perspective. I am sincerely grateful to our donors for this opportunity.”
