BUFFALO, NY – Antone (Joe) Alber, PhD, dean of the Canisius University Richard J. Wehle School of Business, announces the appointment of Stephanie Q. Cattarin as the new executive director of the college’s Center for Professional Development. Cattarin is responsible for the marketing, implementation and evaluation of the non-credit and professional development programs. She recruits and hires program instructors, builds new client relationships and collaborates with Dean Alber to develop new lines of business for the Center.
Prior to her role as executive director, Cattarin was assistant director of graduate admissions at Canisius University. During her tenure, she helped grow key graduate-level programs, including the One-Year MBA, the MBA in Professional Accounting and the MS in Communication and Leadership. Cattarin also brings private-sector experience to her new role. She spent several years as the owner and designer of Gallery II Interior Design Business in Williamsville, NY, and also worked as a sales representative for the Formica Corporation.
“Stephanie has a breadth of successful experience in growing key programs that impact the talent associated with our business community,” says Dean Alber. “Her combined academic and business experiences provide a unique set of skills and background that will enable Canisius to further evolve its Center for Professional Development.”
Cattarin earned a BS in marketing from Medaille College and an MA in interdisciplinary studies in higher education administration from Niagara University. She is a member of Buffalo Niagara 360, the National Association of Graduate Admissions Professionals and the American Marketing Association.
