BUFFALO, NY - Canisius University will hold its sixth annual Ignatian Scholarship Day on Friday, April 19 from 10 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the Richard E. Winter ’42 Student Center. Artwork will be on display throughout the day in the Alumni Gallery leading to the Andrew L. Bouwhuis library. All musical performances will take place in Christ the King Chapel.
At the event, which is free and open to the public, more than 300 of the college’s undergraduate and graduate students will showcase their research, scholarship and performances within a conference environment using the following five forms of expression:
- Poster displays
- Paper presentations
- Multi-media presentations
- Two- and three-dimensional art
- Performances (poetry, drama, and vocal or instrumental music)
The Ani Hoover Art Reception will be held in the Peter A. and Mary Lou Vogt Gallery in the Andrew L. Bouwhius Library from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The Canisius University Chorale, under the direction of Frank Scinta, will perform at 7:30 p.m. in the Montante Cultural Center.
