BUFFALO, NY − Canisius University presents a lecture by Rev. Gustavo Morello, S.J., assistant professor of sociology at Boston College, on Monday, March 25 at 5:00 p.m. in the Regis Room South of the Richard E. Winter ’42 Student Center. Father Morello’s talk, entitled “Catholicism and Human Rights in Latin America: The Argentine Case since the 1960s,” is free and open to the public.
Father Morello specializes in religion, trans-national sociology (Latin America) and political sociology. He researches the relationships between Catholics and politics in Argentina and Latin America’s recent history. Father Morello has published dozens of scholarly articles, most recently in The Bulletin of Latin American Research Review, Politics and the Religious Imagination and Philosophy and Social Criticism.
