Sandy has been with Canisius University since 2006 in various roles and departments. She earned her master’s degree in College Student Personnel in 2013, while working in the Office of Professional Studies (OPS), where she assisted in the development of several new allied health master’s degrees. In this role, she served as academic advisor to all OPS students, admissions counselor for program recruitment, and liaison between the faculty, staff and students.
In the summer of 2018, Sandy joined Aimee Larson, Program Director of the Physician Assistant Studies program to begin the process of creating a new master’s degree in PA Studies.
Sandy’s role as Academic Program Coordinator includes office management, program development, management of student placements for clinical rotations, as well as serving as an advocate for the students overall. She is passionate about the student experience and assuring that students receive the best education during their time at Canisius University.
