Clinical Assistant Professor for PA Studies
Jennifer started off her career in medicine at 18 years old, working as a physical therapy aide for 3 years. This strengthened her focus in rehabilitation medicine as she pursued her degree in Exercise Science at the University at Buffalo in the School of Public Health and Health Professions. After an extensive internship in the Pulmonary Function Laboratory at the Women and Children’s Hospital of Buffalo, she turned her focus from rehabilitation to medicine. She worked as a research coordinator with a focus in Cystic Fibrosis before attending the Physician Assistant Program at Daemen College.
After graduating with her degree in Physician Assistant Studies, she initially worked in urgent care orthopedics at Excelsior Orthopaedics. She then continued her work in orthopedics, with a focus on athletics when she worked at University Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine. There, she was able to work with a multitude of sports injuries and was able to be involved with the local professional sports teams. After starting her family, she turned her focus from orthopedics to dermatology and has been working in dermatology for the past 7 years, doing routine skin cancer surveillance, dermatologic/cosmetic procedures and surgical excisions.
In her spare time, she loves to read, cook, exercise and spend time with her husband, two children, and pets.
