Daniel Higgins is a multimedia journalist who brings two decades of experience to the classroom from both newsrooms and the world of freelancing. He's worked in newspapers, television, and radio, and has pioneered Web-based initiatives, bringing new audiences to local and regional journalism. He is an award-winning features and news reporter, with strong interests in creative nonfiction (longform journalism), podcasting, and educational technology. He is the adviser to The Griffin, the Canisius student newspaper.
