BUFFALO, NY - Timothy J. Hoelscher ’76 was overwhelmed with pride when his daughter, Erin M. Hoelscher ’93, became a legacy at Canisius.
“I felt confident that with her Canisius degree, my daughter would be well-prepared to face any obstacles because I know, personally, the value of a Canisius degree,” states Hoelscher.
Hoelscher came to Canisius in 1974, after finishing a four-year commitment in the U.S. Air Force. He says Canisius nourished him academically, spiritually and socially.
Now, Hoelscher is giving back to the college that he says provided him with so much. Through a planned gift to Canisius, Tim Hoelscher and his wife, Chi Chi, have set aside funds to establish an endowed scholarship. Their gift will help make a Canisius education engaging and affordable to students for many years to come.
“I hope I can serve as an example for other alumni,” notes Hoelscher. “A planned gift – no matter the size – helps provide the opportunities that make a Canisius education unique and enables students to reach their full potentials.”
