Buffalo, NY - Planned gifts made during the 2021-22 fiscal year are sure to have an enduring impact on future generations of students. Canisius University received $1.9 million in charitable bequests from 19 donors, ranging from $500 to $807,400. Leading the way was alumna Charlene Youknut ’74, MS ’79 who bequeathed her entire estate to the college to endow a named scholarship fund.
Additionally, a number of alumni, friends, parents, faculty and staff shared with us their intentions to include Canisius in their estate plans, thereby becoming members of the Rev. James M. Demske '47, S.J. Society.
