Finding Your Transcripts

Canisius University has partnered with the National Student Clearinghouse to provide a 24/7 online transcript ordering service for our current students, former students and alumni.  Official transcripts can now be delivered electronically in a pdf format the same day you place your order.  Paper transcripts can also be requested and mailed but may take 1-3 business days.

Some benefits from Online Transcript Ordering are:

  • Convenient 24/7 access and secure transactions
  • Same day electronic delivery in a pdf format (provided there are no transcript holds on your student record)
  • Automatic order updates via mobile text alerts and email
  • Ability to order multiple transcripts for multiple recipients in one order
  • Ability to attach additional documents to your transcript order.

Alumni  and/or former students not registered within the last year:

You do not have a Canisius login for this process.  Please proceed directly to the National Student Clearinghouse to request a transcript.

  • Students who attended or graduated prior to 1995 may not be in our current system.  Please continue on with the ordering process, even if it states your record cannot be found.  We will be notified. Our office will research and retrieve any archived academic information.  This will delay your transcript, and requests could take an additional 5-7 business days to process.
  • Select "Order or Track a Transcript"
  • The site walks you through placing your order, including delivery options.  You can order as many transcripts as you like in a single session.
  • There is a $5.65 per transcript fee for transcripts delivered electronically (pdf format) or an $8.65 per transcript fee for paper transcripts.  Regardless of which option you choose, you will receive email or text confirmations of receipt, processing and mailing or electronic delivery of your transcript.  You can also track your order status or order history online.
  • Your credit card will only be charged after your order has been completed.
  • If you need attachments sent along with your transcript, you can upload the document as part of your request.
  • We cannot be responsible for non-receipt of transcript requests or non-delivery by the postal service.

Current Students, recent alumni and/or former students registered within the last year:

To view your unofficial transcript/grades:

  • Login to myCanisius with your username and password.  If you do not know your username or password, contact the Information Technology HelpDesk at 716-888-8340
  • Expand the "Schedule and Registration " menu in the Launchpad on the left and select "View Unofficial Transcript/Grades".  This will take you to your student profile.
  • Click on "Unofficial Transcript or View Grades" under your profile picture.  
  • For Unofficial Transcripts. Select the appropriate "Transcript Level" and in the "Transcript Type" field select "Student Transcript" and click on "Submit"

To order an official transcript:

  • Login to myCanisius with your username and password.  If you do not know your username or password, contact the Information Technology HelpDesk at 716-888-8340
  • Expand the "Schedule and Registration " menu in the Launchpad on the left and select "Request Official Transcript"
  • You will be redirected to the Canisius "Student Self-Service Site" through the National Student Clearinghouse.  From there, select "order or track a transcript"
  • The site walks you through placing your order, including delivery options.  You can order as many transcripts as you like in a single session.
  • For current student and recent alumni or former students registered within the last year, there is no fee for this service.
  • You will receive email or text confirmations of receipt, processing and mailing or electronic delivery of your transcript.  You can also track your order status or order history online.
  • If you need attachments sent along with your transcript, you can upload the document as part of your request.
