Terrence Connors ’68 on Prestigious Law Power 50 List
Alumnus among most influential lawyers
Terrence Connors '68, founder of Connors LLP, was named to the New York State Law Power 50 list for 2019. He ranked No. 25 on the inaugural list, which highlights the state’s 50 most influential lawyers who have made their mark on government through influence and legal professionalism. For the past seven years, Connors has also ranked as the number one lawyer in all of Upstate New York by Super Lawyers Magazine. He was recognized by the Erie County Bar Association as Lawyer of the Year in 2010 and was awarded the prestigious Attorney Professionalism Award in 2006 by the New York State Bar Association. President Donald J. Trump has nominated Peter M. Vito ’76 to serve as United States Marshal for the Western District of New York. With a nearly five decade-long career in law, Vito currently is founder and chief executive officer for Peter M. Vito & Associates, a Buffalo, New York-based private investigation firm. Alumna Celebrates Jubilee
Sr. Cullen among nine to reach milestone
Sister Anne Marie Cullen MS ’74 celebrated her jubilee earlier this month. Sister Cullen worked for many years as a teacher in the Diocese of Rochester and in the Rochester School District. She was among nine members of the Rochester Sisters of Mercy honored at a celebratory prayer service at the Mercy Center chapel in Brighton on Saturday, May 18. Read more here.

Alumna leads BISON Children’s Scholarship Fund
Named a WGRZ-TV City Shaper, Amy Popadick ’06, MBA ’09 is making a significant difference in the lives of children in the city of Buffalo. Popadick is executive director of the BISON Children’s Scholarship Fund, a privately funded tuition assistance program for low-income children in grades K-12 to attend the private school of their choice. Bannister ’09 launches plans for Big Norwegian Kombucha in Buffalo’s Old First Ward
Andy Bannister ’09 is passionate about kombucha, a fermented tea with a reputation for health benefits. Now, his plans to open Big Norwegian Kombucha in the 500 Seneca building are well underway. Bannister previously co-founded Snowy Owl Kombucha, one of Buffalo’s first kombucha businesses before deciding to branch out on his own. Read more here.
