Buffalo, NY - Associate Professor of English Janet McNally explores what it feels like to love someone struggling with addiction in her newest young adult novel, The Looking Glass. The book tells the story of 16-year-old ballerina Sylvie Blake and her search for her missing sister, Julia. Woven throughout is a bit of fairytale magic that finds its way into the real world.
The Looking Glass is McNally’s second young adult novel. She is also the author of Girls in the Moon and Some Girls, a prizewinning collection of poems, and a two-time fellow in fiction with the New York Foundation for the Arts.
