BUFFALO, NY – The Canisius University Board of Regents will host its 52nd annual Scholarship Ball on Saturday, May 5 at the Hyatt Regency Buffalo. Cocktails begin at 6:00 p.m.; dinner is at 7:30 p.m. The event is the principal fundraiser for the Canisius University Board of Regents Scholarship Fund, which provides financial support to students who might otherwise not be able to take advantage of a Canisius education. Independent Health is the presenting sponsor of the event.
The Regents Scholarship Ball includes dinner and dancing to the sounds of Nik and the Nice Guys, as well as valuable prize packages, which are raffled off throughout the evening.
The Scholarship Ball also includes the presentation of the Canisius University Board of Regents Distinguished Citizen Award. The award recognizes an individual who has enriched the Western New York region through his or her civic, economic and/or cultural contributions.
