BUFFALO, NY – The Canisius University Chapter of the American Marketing Association assisted Clarence business owners with their annual “Light Up the Center” holiday celebration. Canisius students and their faculty advisor, Gregory Wood, PhD, chair of marketing and information systems, entertained hundreds of children from the area with horse and buggy rides, Christmas caroling, arts and crafts, and assisted with a gift basket auction.
“We were thrilled to help the merchants association with this fun-filled event,” said AMA Chapter President Kaitlin Vienne ’13. “This was a great opportunity to help the merchants generate goodwill in their community, and show their appreciation to customers who supported them all year long.”
The Canisius University American Marketing Association is a professional student organization sponsored by the Richard J. Wehle School of Business.
Canisius University is one of 28 Jesuit, Catholic colleges in the nation and the premier private college in Western New York.
