BUFFALO, NY – The 49th annual Canisius University Regents Scholarship Ball will be held on Saturday, May 9 at the Hyatt Regency Buffalo. Cocktails begin at 6:00 p.m.; dinner is at 7:30 p.m. The event is the principal fundraiser for the Canisius University Board of Regents Scholarship Fund, which provides financial support to promising students who otherwise would not be able to take advantage of a Canisius education. The Regents Scholarship Ball includes the presentation of the Canisius University Board of Regents Distinguished Citizen Achievement Award. This year’s recipient is Scott Bieler, president and chief executive officer of West Herr Automotive Group. The Regents Scholarship Ball will also include dinner and dancing to the sounds of Party of Nine. Guests will have the opportunity to win a variety of valuable prize packages, which will be raffled off throughout the evening.
