Recital Strings Together Music for Duo and Trio

BUFFALO, NY – ArtsCanisius presents an Informally-Formal Chamber Recital on Tuesday, November 8 at 7:30 p.m. in the Montante Cultural Center. The performance will feature Amy Licata, violin; Andrea Cone, viola; and Eva Herer, cello. 

The Informally-Formal Chamber Recitals feature fine desserts, delightful conversation and wonderful chamber music performances with members of the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra. This program will feature music for string duo and trio, including Martinu’s Three Madrigals for violin and viola and Mozart’s Divertimento in E-flat K. 563.

Amy Licata joined the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra in 1988. She has had many opportunities as soloist and chamber musician in the Buffalo area. 

A member of the BPOs violin section since 1987, Andrea Blanchard Cone has performed in numerous chamber music and solo recitals and has soloed with the BPO. A member of Ars Nova for many years, Cone performed multiple times with the group in their well-known Viva Vivaldi Festival.

Eva Herer, previously an associate principal cello with Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, is an active freelancer in the Western New York area.
