Buffalo, NY - He made a name for himself in the marketing and communication industry and now William M. Collins is bringing that experience to Canisius. Collins is the new vice president for advancement, responsible for marketing, public relations, creative and web services, as well as alumni relations and fundraising. He also serves as Canisius’ chief development and external relations officer.
Collins is the former principal of Travers Collins which, prior to its sale in July, was one of Western New York’s leading marketing and communication agencies. He co-founded the company with Bob Travers in 1995.
“I am honored and delighted to join Canisius University, which I consider to be one of the bedrock institutions in Buffalo,” says Collins. “I look forward to working with President Hurley, the trustees, faculty and staff as we endeavor to raise funds for Canisius and spread the good word about the impressive work that occurs on campus every day.”
A native of Buffalo, Collins graduated from St. Bonaventure University with a bachelor of arts degree in journalism.
