BUFFALO, NY – The Canisius University Board of Trustees appointed four new members on July 1. The new members fill outgoing positions and serve three-year terms. The Canisius University Board of Trustees formulates and recommends policy to Canisius President John J. Hurley. The new Board of Trustees members are:
- Rev. John T. Butler, S.J., vice president for university mission and ministry at Boston College;
- Bernd G. Heinze ’78, president and chief executive officer of The Heinze Group;
- Rev. D. Scott Hendrickson, S.J., assistant professor of Spanish and Graduate Program Director at Loyola University Chicago; and
- Lee C. Wortham ’79, partner at Barrantys LLC.
Officers for the 2014-2015 Canisius University Board of Trustees are Chair Edward Burke Carey ’69, president and chief executive officer of Carey Realty Investments Inc. in Columbus, OH; Vice Chair Ben K. Wells MBA ’82, former chief financial officer at the Burger King Corporation; Secretary Erica C. Sammarco ’00, assistant to the president of Canisius University; and Treasurer Marco F. Benedetti, vice president for business and finance.
