BUFFALO, NY - The New York State Athletic Trainers’ Association (NYSATA) inducted Andy Smith ’89 into its Hall of Fame. 
Smith is head athletic trainer at Canisius and an adjunct professor in the Athletic Training Education Program. He oversees the college’s 17 athletic teams, and works directly with the women’s lacrosse and cross country/track programs. Smith also administers the NCAA and Canisius drug testing programs.
He holds a BS in athletic training and physical education from Canisius and an MS in kinesiology and athletic training from the University of Illinois.
