Alumna travels world to learn about food and culture
In June 2015, Chris Clarke᾽90 visited 18 countries to explore food and culture. Her mission was to eat, cook and share food, and to talk about it with as many people as possible.
She started a blog and wrote a book about her travels entitled Clarke Wanders: The World (or how a very sober, mostly vegan, spinster chef wandered a welcoming world for a year).
Clarke’s podcast, “Something About Food?” invites guests to discuss the ways in which food has impacted them and how it connects people.

Alumna’s unique online marketplace connects farmers with customers
Fast food can be delivered via Door Dash. Gina᾽00 and Gary Wieczorek want to do the same for local produce.
They are the co-founders of Produce Peddlers, a company that uses technology to get fresh local produce in the hands of businesses within hours.
The Wieczorek’s built the company in close consultation with local farmers and an influential group of advisers.

Wolf ’12 Debuts First Young Adult Novel
Story inspired by childhood experiences
Creative Writing/English graduate Ryan Wolf ’12 penned his first young adult novel.
Entitled Watches and Warnings, the story highlights a family’s struggle after a tornado mows through an Oklahoma town.
Wolf’s childhood inspired his novel, in which characters focus on re-building in different ways. In the summer of 1998, Wolf was visiting family in Niagara Falls when a damaging storm occurred in the area. He remembers the major damage to his aunt and uncle’s house.
