Buffalo, NY – The Army Reserve Officers Training Corp (ROTC) at Canisius University will commission 14 cadets as second lieutenants during a private ceremony on Thursday, June 3 at 10:00 a.m. The ceremony will take place at the Sandy Beach Yacht Club in Grand Island.
Eight students attend Canisius University, five attend the State University of New York at Buffalo and one attends the State University of New York College at Buffalo. The Canisius students being commissioned are:
- Ethan J. Alexin, a business and economics dual major, is assigned to the corps of engineers with the New York Army National Guard;
- Katelyn M. Bove, a clinical mental health counseling major, is assigned to adjutant general corps and will service with the New York Army National Guard;
- Adam J. Dunbar, a marketing major, is assigned to military intelligence and will service with the New York Army National Guard;
- Autumn C. Finch, an international relations and political science dual major, is assigned to ordnance corps and will service on active duty;
- Tanner C. Heinchon, a health and wellness major, is assigned to the infantry branch and will service on active duty;
- Brendan T. Morrison, a sports management major, is assigned to the armor branch and will service with the New York Army National Guard;
- Patrick J. Rosati, a health and wellness major, is assigned to the infantry branch and will service on active duty; and
- Christopher W. Tucker, a health and wellness major, is assigned to the corps of engineers and will be stationed with the Army Reserves.
